10 Weeks: Renovation, a Holiday and a New Skill

Our little sweet pea is 10 weeks today! Been spending more time in the kitchen, improving on a healthier porridge recipe. Motherhood level +1! The nausea and vomiting has not ceased so I picked up crochet to take my mind off it. My first project is this baby bear hat from a YouTube tutorial. Isn’t this the cutest thing?!

On a sadder note, our concrete screeded floor has been cracking over the years and recently, larger cracks with large holes! Juvie thinks that it is unsafe for the baby and we decided to renovate. The renovation company said to level the floor, apply vinyl flooring, paint the whole house and some other minor tweaks, will take about a week and a half. We thought it wasn’t too bad!

I really love the concrete floor despite all the fuck ups that the previous bastard renovation company has created. There were tons of memories with this floor.

Like spending our Chinese New Years..

He puts his gifts to us on it..

It’s has also been a great photography backdrop..

I know Juvie hates all the holes on it but I, for one, will definitely be missing it. 🙁

And also being chinese, our pantang parents were really upset with us for proceeding with renovation while I am with child. But as long as I’m not at the renovation site, it should be fine.

So what’s better than to go on a baby moon while these are happening! Our last trip as a single couple! I wanted to go to New Zealand and stay at the alpaca farm but there weren’t any suitable seats available. So we decided on Osaka/Kyoto. <3

Yet another bad thing to do for a pregnant woman. Japan with all her radiation. But fuck it. I’ve researched and it is fine if I don’t drink the water. I will definitely take extra care.

It is the morning sickness that I am worried about more than anything. They say it will be worse on flight. Just to go out nowadays, I have to bring a thermal full of hot honey lemon, crackers and many plastic bags. Vomited 4 times in a span of 2 hours at Parkway just last weekend.

I will survive.
