I cannot help but emphasize how important reading is and I have bought quite a number of books to kick start her little library. We will put aside 15 minutes every night to read to her. This will be our little family tradition that will last throughout her toddler years. <3
The World of Peter Rabbit – A true children’s classic with really beautiful illustrations and typography. I love this so much!
Grimm’s Complete Fairy Tales – This leather bound, gold etched book is not meant for children. These are the original tales, which is really twisted and dark. Someone listed it on Carousell for only $15 and it’s brand new! Of course I have to buy it. Can probably let her read when she’s at least 9 years old. For now, I’ll read it first. 🙂
Guess How Much I Love You – Sam McBratney, the pop up edition.
We also bought 40 over Mr Men & Little Miss books, as well as the Good Night Stories for Rebel Girls but it’s currently out of stock and will be delivered when it is restocked.
It’s important that we take note of the books being introduced to little girls as we do not want to let them think that they needed to be saved by Prince Charmings and that they are inferior to males.
