Since we are going through a renovation and baby moon, Ozzy cannot stay in the house. And so, we took him for a staycation at a pet hotel for 11 days!
Being a pet-mother, naturally it was extremely worrying for me. I worry that he won’t be able to adapt, and may feel scared or abandoned because this is a cat we’re talking about and not a dog. And with his trusting and naive character, I was also afraid he will get bullied.
It didn’t help that Zika broke out bad in Singapore and the pet hotel is in a super hot zone, so I couldn’t even send him off and settle him in myself! I was so upset.
Thank goodness the owner at Catopia was such a nice guy and he sent us photo and video updates on how our precious cat is doing.
When Ozzy first reached Catopia
Whoa whoa.. is that a mirror image?!

Ozzy meets his BFF, Apollo the maine coon.
Apollo absolutely adores Ozzy and follows him everywhere!
Owner feels that Ozzy’s a really sweet boy and lets him roam most of the time

Ozzy loves the owner. Traitor.

More exploring..
So all in all, I over-worried. And we are extremely blessed with such a sweet cat. We thought we shouldn’t get another companion for him because he might not want his peace being disrupted or he might get bullied considering his mild temperament. But after this experience, we realised that he CAN have friends!
And sooo… we are getting him a friend! Cat hunting starts now. 🙂
